Australian business systems

Smarter Business Systems. Built Around the Way You Work.

Bolana Digital designs custom business software for service businesses, contractors, and equipment rental companies. The aim is practical: less manual work, a clearer view of what is happening, and operations that are not spread across disconnected tools.

  • No payment to enquire
  • No public price list
  • Scope agreed before a build

The practice

A technology partner for the operation, not a catalogue of products.

Bolana Digital works with Australian businesses that still run part of the day from spreadsheets, whiteboards, or software that was built for a different kind of company. We listen to the workflow first, then design a system around it. Custom business software in Australia only helps when the people using it recognise their own work.

There is no obligation after an enquiry. If a simpler change would serve you better than a new system, that is part of the conversation.

Where work gets stuck

Business challenges, and the kind of system that answers them.

The work still lives in spreadsheets

Quotes, job status, and customer history sit in different files. People re-type the same details, and nobody is sure which version is current.

A business system organised around the jobs, hires, or service calls you already run, so the record is entered once.

Owners hear about problems late

If the only status update is a phone call from a customer, delays and missed handovers stay invisible until they cost money.

Clear stages and a straightforward admin view, so the team can see what is waiting, what is in progress, and what is done.

The tools do not agree with each other

Accounting, inboxes, and job sheets each tell a slightly different story. Staff spend the day reconciling them.

Connect the parts that should stay, and give the operation one place that is responsible for the workflow.

Off-the-shelf software fights the way you work

A generic product renames your process and adds steps the crew will not follow. The spreadsheet quietly returns.

Software shaped around your language, your roles, and the exceptions that actually happen on the job.

Services

Systems, applications, and automation shaped around the business.

Each engagement starts from the problem, not from a package. See the full service list.

Industries

Industry-specific workflows, without pretending we already run your business.

How a project moves

Discover, build, then improve.

  1. 1

    Discover

We start with a consultation. The aim is to understand how work moves, where time is lost, and what a first version actually needs to do.

  2. 2

    Build

We design and develop the system in stages. The people who will use it review the work while there is still time to correct the direction.

  3. 3

    Improve

We deploy, support the handover, and agree any maintenance or later improvements as their own piece of work. Nothing is assumed.

Delivery and support

What you can expect while the work is underway.

Support after launch is available. It is agreed in writing, rather than assumed, so the business knows what continues once the first version is in use.

  • A written understanding of the scope before a build begins.
  • Staged reviews, so progress is visible without a technical background.
  • Testing against real tasks the team performs, not only a scripted demonstration.
  • Handover notes the business can keep.
  • Support arrangements discussed before go-live, and quoted separately when they are wanted.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Do you publish prices?

No. A useful system depends on the workflow, the people using it, and what the first version needs to include. After a consultation we can prepare a quotation. There is no price list on this website, and you do not pay to send an enquiry.

What happens after we send an enquiry?

We read it and reply by the contact method you choose. If a conversation is the right next step, we arrange a consultation to understand the operation before anyone talks about a build.

Do we need a technical specification?

No. Describe the work, where it gets stuck, and what you want to be easier. The consultation is where the detail is drawn out.

Can you work with a business outside a capital city?

Yes. Consultations can be held remotely with businesses across Australia.

Will you replace every tool we already use?

Not necessarily. Part of discovery is deciding what should stay, what should be connected, and what is getting in the way.

Do you offer support after a system is delivered?

Yes. Maintenance and improvements can be arranged after delivery. The scope of that support is agreed separately, so it is clear what is included.

How is a project usually run?

Discover the workflow, confirm the scope in writing, build in stages with reviews, test with real tasks, then deploy and hand over. Later improvements are planned from how the system is actually used.
